The '74 Silver Shadow was Rolls Royce's answer to criticism that they had fallen behind technologically, and therefore this model had various updates not only in exterior design, but also was the first model to utilize all disc brakes, a unitary body & chassis construction, and a game-changing hydropneumatic, self-leveling suspension system (licensed from Citroen) which provided an incredibly high degree of ride quality.
